The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme SRD [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area every day. The support position made for intervention activities a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to empower the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
